Our sign standards are free standing metal frames that are kept upright on a heavy base. They hold posters in the upright, portrait, orientation and are designed to work with posters 22 inches wide by 28 inches tall.
The frames have a rigid cardboard insert and a full frame around the edges so the posters do not need to be on rigid themselves and no tape or tacks are needed to hold them in place. The frames are also double sides so it is possible to put two posters in a given frame, although the locations where we usually place them are usually only visible from one side.
Because of the rigid cardboard backing it is possible to mount smaller posters or signs using tape.
Our office does not print posters. We recommend working with the UW Posters Shop to order posters.
